"We're Taking Our Country Back" Short in Chicago Video Contest

"We're Taking Our Country Back" is a short documentary a friend and I worked on for the "One Chicago, One Nation" Online Video Contest. It takes a look at the challenges communities face culturally, politically, and socially as a result of a growing faction in America known as the Tea Party. It asks communities to consider how they plan to confront the growing threat to public services and social safety nets in communities as a result of an agenda that cries out against Big Government, which is being pushed by Americans who despise America's first African-American president.

  1. You did a great job of getting this done quickly and into the hands of the judges for the One Chicago One Nation LinkTV competition. All the films in this competition were very interesting and all are good examples to look at for this class. Continue to polish your craft and work on finding the means to get access to the best recording equipment you can afford. Try bartering your blogging and writing skills, editing, and logging in exchange for access to better camera and sound equipment. And keep up the good work!

  2. I like the way you show both sides of the debate with a balanced representation of ordinary folks and extremists, breaking down the usual stereotypes. Upload to You tube!
